MY STORY

“ Every project presents it’s own DNA buried deep within the Client, place, and program with a unique story waiting to be told through the eyes of design. It is this anticipation of possibilities with every project that excites me and sparks opportunities for innovation and evolution in design…”

Alison Antrobus credits her design foundation and ethos to both her Caribbean heritage, and her unique academic training at The Rhode Island School of Design, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Interior Architecture. Her innate talent as a Visual Artist, coupled with her training at RISD allows her to explore Interior + Product Design through the lens of a Painter, Sculptor, Fashion Designer and Artist resulting in layered details intended to relay the narrative unique to each project.
In 2002, Alison Antrobus founded ANTROBUS DESIGN CO., where she cultivated the Luxury Boutique Interior Design Studio counting a long roster of A-list clients. Her reputation and talent have gained her global recognition and established long standing Client relationships spanning over the course of 18 years. In addition to her Interior Design work, Alison designed a collection of watches for PHILIP STEIN and invented a Patented Handbag along the way which was featured in Woman’s Wear Daily and gained her a spot on the CNBC network show, “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch.” and featured on The TODAY SHOW.
During her career, Alison was invited to open and lead the Miami studio for YOO Ltd, a London based Design Development practice lead by John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck. “It is a once in a lifetime experience to work alongside one of the icons in Design” says Antrobus, “his influence will be with me forever.” Whilst building the Yoo Miami team, Antrobus brought on board Designer Ruby Ramirez, with whom she later formed ANTROBUS + RAMIREZ.
In 2020, ANTROBUS DESIGN COLLECTIVE was created as a conduit to focus on her Luxury Residential Clients, select Hospitality Projects, and to develop many of her collective musings over the last two decades with a focus on exciting collaborations.
